Little chit chat of yesteryear

Gone are the carefree days of school . Those days were tension free and of no responsibility. Now it seems it was a period of previous life period. We only had to think about our studies and nothing else. At times it seems very tough but at that time didn't know the real tough time lies later. At times my old school teachers come to memory. With a smile I remember my class teacher of std XI and XII , Sister Joan. I was so quiet in class that when one day she saw me speaking to my friend in the class , instead of scolding me she said, "Madhumita.... You are talking talk! talk ! talk!" She also taught English in class X . Then we had Madam Kapoor as our class teacher in class X and our hindi teacher in class IX. She had a strong personality and was very strict and disciplined. I was very afraid of her. Actually she tried to correct everybody whenever she found them they were not right according to her. But I tried to follow all her instructions and hardly got any scoldi

The girl I admire the most

I should not call her a girl now. Instead she is a lady with two growing sons one of them being teenager. But her mesmerizing smile and her appearance is of a girl of twenties still. I am speaking of none other than my very good friend Shipra. She joined our school in class seven and stayed near to where I stayed so came to school by the same bus and from same stop. So we became friends in little time. Because of her captivating character she slowly became favorite of all. Shipra has taught me to love studies. Here I will state how. I was in std VIII. From school we were given assignment of teaching poor people who could not afford to go to school free of cost. We were to find atleast one such person and convince him/her to study. I was finding it difficult to convince people to study. So while chatting with Shipra I said, "See, why will anybody study? we ourselves don't feel like studying." At this Shipra said ,"No,it is not like that. If someone now asks u to lea

Recalling few moments of the first day of NDA

I trace back my memory to 1981, a long time ago. I have a blurred image of the event as I was very small then. After getting admitted to std I in Notre Dame, I was ready to go to school for the first day. As far as I remember on the first day I had gone to school by car of a school teacher who was staying near my place. After reaching school I remember that teacher took me near to the junior's principles office where my class teacher of class I Mrs Rajni Verma was standing. She took me to her and told me this your teacher then she left. I was a little nervous. Then I remember Mrs.Rajni Verma was going up and I started following her. But then she told me, "no no you stay you stay here I will call you later." These words I still remember. In this way my first day of school passed which I no further I remember.
